Contraband Arrest at Macon State Prison

As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 1,004 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.

On November 24, at Macon State Prison, visitor Keisha Thompson was observed switching shoes with an offender.  The shoes contained an unknown amount of marijuana, tobacco and 50 unknown white pills.  Visitor Keisha Thompson was arrested by Macon County Sherriff’s Office.
