Contraband Arrests at Multiple State Prisons

On October 14 at Calhoun SP, an individual was spotted near the facility. Calhoun County Sheriff's Department and GDC canine unit tracked down Civilian Devonta Jackson. There were 2 bundles wrapped in duct tape recovered, which consisted of 528 grams of marijuana. The Calhoun County Sheriff's Department arrested civilian Devonta Jackson.

 

On October 14 at Rogers SP, an individual was spotted near the facility. The canine unit tracked down Civilian Roy Gomillion, who had 6 white bags of contraband which contained: 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of glasses, 2,083 grams of tobacco, 183.7 grams of THC, 1 pack of socks, 2 packs of shirts, 1 beanie cap, 1 bottle of baby oil, 2 deodorant sticks, 1 tube of toothpaste, 9 dice, 5 cushion squares, 18 packs of wrapping papers, 5 packs of rolling paper, 10 packs of cigarettes, 15 single cigars, 8 cellphones, 1 knife, 9 charging blocks, 10 charging cords, 3 earbuds, 3 ear plugs, 4 packs of candy, 17 cough drops and 1 pack of raw uncooked chicken breasts. Tattnall County Sheriff's Department was notified and took Civilian Gomillion into custody. 

 

On October 12 at Calhoun SP, security staff observed a package wrapped in black tape near the facility. The contraband consisted of the following: 16 cell phones, 10 cell phone chargers, 30 packs of cigars, and 2.9 ounces of crystal methamphetamine. Calhoun County Sheriff's Department assisted with a search of the area and conducted a traffic stop where 2 black duffle bags were recovered. The bags contained 5,994 grams of tobacco, 256 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and 1 homemade drone. Civilians Marquinte McGhee, Tyquerrus Davis, Jahleil Mitchell, and Curtis Anthony were arrested and taken to Calhoun County Jail with pending charges.
