MISSION:

Ensure public safety and effectively house offenders while operating a safe and secure facility by housing medium or less security offenders as contracted by the State of Georgia.

HOUSING:

Consists of six housing units: four dormitory style with four pods each, housing 250 offenders; one housing unit with two dormitory style pods and two-man cell housing pods, housing 250 offenders; one housing unit with four two-man cell housing pods, for 250 total offenders, and one lockdown unit with 50 segregation beds and 25 isolation beds.

DIRECTIONS FROM ATLANTA:

Take I-20E to Exit #114 (Madison/Eatonton Exit). Turn right onto Hwy 441S to Milledgeville. Once in the city limits, go through two traffic lights. At the third traffic light turn right on Roberson Mill Road. Cross railroad tracks; Roberson Mill Road turns into Hwy 441 Bypass. After the fourth traffic light, merge to the far left lane. Take the first left at Midway School onto Carl Vinson Road. Turn on the second paved road on the left, Laying Farm Road. Riverbend Correctional Facility is the second prison on the left, 196 Laying Farm Road.

DIRECTIONS FROM MACON:

Take I-75S the Exit 16. At first light, turn left. Continue straight through 4 traffic lights. Gray Hwy will turn into Hwy 22. Remain on Hwy 22 thru Jones County, into Baldwin County. Once in Baldwin Co, turn right at the second light (Hwy 441 bypass). Continue straight through 3 traffic lights. After the 3rd light, prepare to take the first left turn at Midway School onto Carl Vinson Rd. Take a right at the second paved road on the left, Laying Farm Road. Riverbend Correctional Facility is the second prison on the left, 196 Laying Farm Road.
